prevention of hard drive damage.  Output is 1.85mV/g.

Don't have the prices but found similar sensors in a MURATA catalogue.

They are also made for shock detection for small HDD, home appliance and
audio visual equipment. In SMD package they have tree models:

             Primary Axis inclined angle         Votage Sensitivity

PKGS-00LA               0 deg                           1.92mV/G +/- 15%
PKGS-25LA               25 deg                          1.75mV/G +/- 15%
PKGS-45LA               45 deg                          1.85mV/G +/- 15%

PKS1-4A1                                                40mVp-p/G

This last one is not an SMD chip. Seems like a buzzer with two wires.
