Hi everyone

I have the fuzzyTech-MP kit that comprises a temperature control demo pcb.
On this board there is a 3 digit 7 segment LED display. From what I can see
this unit is written to serially. It can also drive several additional
external LEDs.
It is a great space saver for those really tight boards.
The part number is LTM 8522G.
Does anyone know who manufactures these devices so that I can find their
web page & get some prices & other info.

Thanks
       Dennis

I once got samples of such LED 7 segment displays with built-in
drivers and a serial interface from an LED manufacturer in the Far
East by the name of Liteon.  I can't remember the part number now,
but I think it might very well be the same thing.

Hi Werner

I have done a search on the web for LITEON and found a company called
Lite-On.
I don't think they are the correct peope.

Do you remember how you managed to find out about them?

Many thanks

There is a Lite-On here in Penang, they are OEM
manufacturer of 14"~15" monitors, so I think you
got the wrong people.

LiteOn, makers of optoelectronic devices (like 7 segement displays) are in
Taipei, Taiwan at 886-2-5774321.

US office is in Milpitas, CA at 408-946-4873

They are stocked by Digi-Key and others.

Yes, I've got their catalogue.  I'll check up the part number and let you
know by private email.

I agree.  Although I seem to recall that Lite-On and Liteon are
members of the same larger company.
