Usually mechanical connections are used in antenna ground systems.
Here is a summary of my experience on brazing:
The joint should be clean and shiny. Coated brazing rods are nice but good
flux is essential. A four ounce container of flux from a welding supply
store costs about $6 around here. It will last very long time. It is
corrosive so make sure you clean up well afterwards.
You must have adequate heat, usually a propane torch is the minimum with
acetylene preferred. Some use the a product called Mapp gas".
Brazing is essentially a high temperature soldering process. The joint will
need to get to a dull red to flow properly. The flux melts an shields the
joint from oxidation.
Silver solder is a little easies to work with, but good supplies are very
expensive. There is a world of difference in dealing with silver bearing
solder and the real stuff.
The last time I priced top quality Harris Silver Solder it was about $80 for
a four ounce roll!
The higher your skill level, the better you can deal with minimal equipment
and supplies, just like life in the electronics world.

You should see the security precautions when you go to pick the stuff up at
the actual precious metal alloy supplier. (it's on the shelf in some
wholesale places, so no big deal).
You go into a little well lit and camera'd windowless room, probably with
remote-controlled electric locks on the door. The clerk on the other side
peers at you through THICK bulletproof glass, your paperwork or payment
goes through a hinged box that never allows any opening between the inside
and outside, and the material is fed back through the same box.
Similar to jewelry manufacturers.
