Hi,

I was browsing through a DALLAS Data book looking for a large serial
RAM solution, and have come accross this possible solution.

The DALLAS DS1280 is a 3-Wire to Bytewide Converter Chip. It allows
serial access up to 512KB of memory. It converts the serial data to
the standard JEDEC memory configuration, A0 - A18, D0 - D7, and
the usual control signals.

Online data sheets may be found at http://www.dallas.com, or if you don't
have WWW access like me a postscript file may be ftp'ed from

       matrix.dalsemi.com /pub/datasheets/1280.ps

I hope this is useful.

Peter.

Peter,

Have you (or anyone else) got any PIC code to drive this chip?

If so, can you post or e-mail a copy.

Thanks,

Mike
