Hey, folks, could it be that these MER folks are
the source of the double-reply messages that so many
of us have been reporting on lately? They say in their
e-mail that

Well, if they were sending two copies of every PIC list
post back to the ListServer, then that would explain the
double set of bounce messages!

Come to think of it, the double bounce messages began to
appear around the same time as these stupid messages
from MER.

Get these suckers OFF the PIC List before we all go bonkers!

If you look at their headers, they're posting from netkonnect.net,
personally I am starting to suspect repeated SPAM here.  If I set up an
auto-responder to tell someone to unsubscribe me, I would not set that
auto-responder to *post an ad to that list*, repeatedly, folks...  They
could at least stop sending the damn auto-bounce and help Jory figure
out how they're getting PICList messages.

BTW: Jory says the misconfiguration is solved, apparently.  So should
see no more bounce problems, I hope!

I don't think so, because an auto-responder generally adds a couple of
lines.  If it sent the message back to the list with *no* additions at
all, that would fool it, but it still should be obvious in the header
list of the returned submission.

 Mmmmm, before.

Jory has confirmed the interesting observation surmised by someone
else that - they have never been *on* the list!  The thot plickens!

No, they are not.  It's a different problem.  But the double posting
problem also comes from the middle east (.ir domain), from
RemoveMEourmazdiEraseMEspamEraseMEiomco.com.

This is an excerpt from one of the double post reply:

Received: from mahtab.neda.net.ir [194.165.21.2] by mail.neda.net.ir
