I have the Hi-tech compiler and am trying to use it with Techtools and MPLAB.
Every time I try to compile a program (even one of the samples) I get a
message that Access denied and it is usually the cpp.exe file.

Can anyone tell me if they have seen this problem and what to do about it.

Thanks,

Jeff

Never saw it, and it works fine for me.

What version TDE are you using?  Version 4 is the best.  If you don't have
it, dl it for free.

I am using the HiTech C compiler and have not had this problem.

I used codewright as an editor.  You can download an evaluation copy
from their web site. premia.com

I compile in DOS using HiTech's setup program.

I use a Rice17b emulator with their software.

I do not use the MPLAB environment.

Perhaps there is a lockfile open. Try "HPDPIC clear_locks" in a dos
window.
