Shame on you for coming up with such a device.
Anyway, since I have not seen it mentioned, Jim Thompson (whom I greatly
respect) has a design for an earlobe pickup device on his site:

It works with both (all?) genders and any skin colo[u]r so it is
a perfectly acceptable circuit. No expensive parts, either, so it's
also suitable for the economically disadvantaged.
