OK, so now you got me interested in another aspect.  I have a data logger which
I need to "suck dry" and display the contents graphically as well as
numerically.

Tell me more about MRTG.

Awesome, awesome package.  You can use it to monitor and graph just about
anything.  It uses SNMP to collect data, but you can also collec the data
any way you can get it and feed it to MRTG to build and maintain the
graphs and HTML pages.  Oh, did I mention it's FREE and runs on UNIX/Perl
or NT?
