'Fw: reduce gaussian noise w. sigma-delta a/d'

Hi all,
I want to digitize a signal with AD7731 sigma-delta converter. The original
analog signal has gaussian noise superimposed on it. I know that the
sigma-delta has a nature which takes the quantization noise out of the band
of interest beyond the fs/s. (where fs equals sampling frequency) What kind
of noise is the quantization noise?
Will the sigma-delta scheme take my gaussian noise out of the band as well?
