Hi, I am looking to sell some equipment that I have not used since college,
no reasonable offer will be refused,
shipping to be paid by the purchaser:

1 - PicStart 16B1 programmer with serial cable and S/W.
                       - I understand that there you can upgrade the
firmware to expand the variety of PICs that can be programmed (has anyone
done this?)
                       see http://www.new-elect.com/freestuff.htm PHOENIX
16B firmware HEX file.
       1 - 24V AC adapter

       1 - DataErase II with built-in timer
                       - it is made by Walling Co. and was purchased from
DigiKey
       1 - 9V AC adapter

       1 - 16C55JW
       1 - 16C57JW

I am looking to sell as a complete package.
If you are thinking of starting out in microcontrollers this is everything
you need to get going.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the advert.

-Russ

Done that. I most heartily recommend it to all Picstart owners...

Hi,

I looked at upgrading my PicStart 16B1 with the Phoenix firmware but found
that you have to program it into a 17C4x which this programmer can't do.
What you might call a bootstrap problem !

Any suggestions for getting around this ?? Does anyone supply a
programmed part ??

I've done it in the past for people, I'd do it again;  Just pay the
shipping costs and (supply me with a part to program || I could buy the
part, "just send more money")  Have multiple programmers here, multiple
UV erasers too.  (Too many programmers, almost <G>  Is there such a
thing as "enough" or "too many"?)
