   Uhh, Dennis?

Speaking of irritating behavior...  Sending responses like this
to a mailing list instead of to the sender of the original
   message ranks right up there.

Maybe you didn't notice, but the CVCOM spam was sent to the
PICLIST, not directly to you.  CVCOM doesn't HAVE your e-mail
addresss, so sending a response to them (even with the word
"remove" in it) won't get you removed from their database.  My
guess is that this is a clever way for them to GET your e-mail
   address in the first place.

In general, the best thing to do with spam like this is to
simply delete it.  If you have a smart mailreader, you can
configure it to automatically delete any future e-mail from
cvcom.com.  I have a fairly involved kill file already, and I
haven't received any of those Krazy Kevin magazine spams in
   months.

If EVERYBODY ignored commercial spam, the people sending it would
quickly grow tired of wasting their time and would find some
other way to advertise.  Responding to it en masse simply
reinforces their belief that the internet IS a good way to reach
   a large population.
