Hi,

Has any one heard about Forest Electronic Development (FED)
C compiler for pics ? It's an incredibly  non expensive c compiler
(#60)  Has any one ever worked with it ? Is it reliable ?

Any point, any comment welcome.

Hi

I bought the micro module and the kit for the PIC16C74. Never got around to
using them though, nor does it look like I will. I have too many projects
already. It is suppose to be good, but support is very limited. It has
drivers for IR control that are very nice and the basic is more versatile
then other pic basic compilers. It handles interrups better as well as
passing parameters.

If anyone is interested, I would like to sell the completely assembled micro
module, the kit and the compiler. Contact me off list and we'll work out
pricing. I am in the US and Forest is in the UK, so shipping was a pain to
get here.

Jon,

I might be interested in this.  What would you need to have
for it?  Let me know and we'll go from there.

                                       Regards,

Have bought it, but not used. Haven't liked it's IDE (maybe you would
like it) and it's integrations with MPLAB is very poor. Also, it's
executable is bigger than CC5XFREE and CCS-PCM.

CCS-PCM still seens to be the best option.

   Best regards,

   Brusque
