Hi.
Is there a way to fetch instructions for the PIC16C84
from an external memory (EEPROM or BBRAM) ?
A KB of memory just isn't enough. And if possible
while keeping 1 cycle / instruction.
Thanks.

P.S. Is there a FAQ for this list ?

You can write an interpreter in the program memory which gets its
instructions from the EEPROM... like the Parallax BASIC Stamp does.

No... The only PICs that can be used in "microprocessor mode"
(that is, with external ROM) are the 17C4x series.

Tom Kellett maintains a PIC FAQ... A link to it is on my
   company's web page.
