   Now that there are USB network cards available, can one not use one of
   the pic's with a USB port to chat to one of these USB network cards
   and that way get it on the net ??

Do any of the USB pics have a HOST-SIDE USB implementation?  The protocol
isn't symetric at all, and apparently the host side is much harder to do in
a small micro (especially if you're going to allow more than a single
"slave.")

More info, please?  One of the downsides to being a "software" engineer is
the general inability to obtain samples of hardware...  Oh well.
