Hello PICLIST,

I want to convert a Intel EEPROM hex file into datatables (ie. de 0x01,0x02

Could someone please tell me where to to find such a program ??

PS! I dont subscribe to the list on a regular basis, so please send email

Essentially you want a macro editor in which you can write a macro
containing all the keystrokes to chop up the Hex file, line by line,
into the desired form, inserting the ",0x" etc.

Once you've written the macro, having the file in question open, you
just tap the macro function key repeatedly (or hold it down and auto-
repeat, but this can be dangerous!) and watch as the lines are magically
converted.

Wordstar was mentioned.  I don't know Wordstar.

Ian King wrote a disassembler that took hex files as an input. I couldn't
find that after a quick search. However, there's Timo's disassemble which
(I believe) uses Ian's code. Or if you want, grab gpsim and look at the
file hex.cc. It's Ian's hex.c file that I renamed to hex.cc and made a few
changes.

Hi all,

I thought this would be a good add on to my DT program, as I had already
written most of the code in other applications. You just load in a hex
file and the data can be formatted in a couple of ways.

retlw 'bxxxxxxxx'

retlw 0xhh

dt 0xhh, 0xhh etc

It already comes bundled with PicNPoke, and was always unlocked after
installation, so I have made the program separately available on my web
site if anyone wants a copy. It is zipped with a help file included.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
