'DTMF code'

I anyone has some code to produce DTMF tones.....thats about as simple
as you can get thats well documented i'd appreciate it. David Thomas's
code is real good and he has been helping me but all the extra keypad
stuff seems to be confusing me. I just want a program that lets me put
in the values of the tones I want.
I anyone has this in the Parallax instruction set i'd appreciate it.
I'm going to use this as a memory tone dialer, just a few phone numbers
programmed into it, so I don't need anything fancy.
If it was written for a clock speed besides a colorburst crystal....i'd
appreciate some info on doing the math. I don't know too much about PICs
either, I had been programming the 68HC811 for a while and it seems like
I have to learn about the PIC's again.
Thanks

As far as I can tell, the code at that URL only *generates* DTMF. I think
the question was whether it was possible to *receive* DTMF (a much harder
problem). Another poster offered a program awhile back that could detect
long bursts of DTMF but it couldn't look for all seven tones at once and
consequently couldn't detect short DTMF tones. The algorithm I've
produced does a real-time simultaneous detect on eight tones and every
1/60 second it produces a new "guess" as to what it heard.

Hi,
I'm learning with pics, and I'm interested in this source code,
but I don't know how it could be the conection with the phone.
could you send me how could I connect this to a phone or a speaker?.
A jpg, gif, or bmp could help me to understand more about these chips.

Hi,
I'm looking for information about DTMF decoders,
please could anyone tell me where can I find information about DTMF decoders,
or if anyone have a DTMF source code could send me the source code?
Please, help me and tell me where can I find information about this!!!!!!.

Haven't used this myself but take a look here:

Good luck.

Hello Jose,
I have been searching the net for bit banging sources, and found
a DTMF dialer using PIC code at web address http://www.brouhaha.com/%7Eeric/pic/
This is Eric Smith's web page and therin you will find the DTMF dialer
stuff

Hi Jose,
I've got some DTMF decoding code, but I can't give it to you. Sorry.
However, here's the theory upon which the decoding algorithm is
based:
http://www.interstice.com/~sdattalo/technical/theory/dtmf.html
From this it should be really trivial to write your own decoder. :)
