I would like to build a reliable PIC based DMX
Reciever, that is something to pick up incoming DMX
and give me 8 bit data for external conversion to
analogue, I know it is possible, because there is a
commercial device that does just that.
What I would like best is full source code and a
description of what pins will do what, I shouldn't
have a problem with the electronics, just the
programming side of things.
Any help would be much appreciated.
By the way if anyone is interested, I have found a
design and code for a PC to DMX convertor based on a
16c84. Can't remember off hand where I got it, but I
can find it again if anyone wants to know.

Have a look at my homepage (http://www.qsl.net/n5tle/). It contains the
source code and schematics to my DMX to analog voltage converter. This
might give you a "head start" on your receiver.
I am hoping to post the source code and schematic to my DMX transmitter
in the near future.
Let me know if you have any questions.
