I would like to know if there is a compiler soon to be available that supports both
16's & 17's.

The ByteCraft compiler is the one that supports the 17 series.

Hitech C is due to include the 17. Soon, sometime last year maybe. :-)

Michael,

The CCS compiler ( http://www.ccsinfo.com ) supports 16's and they are
currently looking for testers for their 17's support.

I'm not affiliated with them, just a <mostly> happy customer.

We will be including support for the PIC17 with our compiler in
the near future. "Near" means it's close enough that it's hard to
be more precise. All existing customers will get a free upgrade to include the
PIC17 support.

Hi

Glad to see some of you guys are lurking around here.  Because of this,
I truly believe you product can only get better bringing the users what
they want.

Now.... if only we had some Microchip folks here too..  or do we? :)
