No complaints there, but don't expect it to be anything else. As a user with no previous experience of PICs but plenty with microprocessors in general, I found the Microchip data sheets and application notes and the suggestions of people on this group more useful than the book. This view might be a little biased, as my first project was on the 16c84 which the book doesn't cover at all. It could probably use a 2nd edition to cover the newer parts (especially those with interrupts). I would think it would be useful to a person with no microcontroller experience, and my impression is that Microchip are especially targeting this market with the PIC. Don't get the impression that I think it's useless - it's just not for everybody. -adrian
