See how your system sounds with this  $750 power cord:

Wwhich is truly enhanced when used in conjunction with a $147 outlet:

Check out the $1542 5' speaker cable:

If all this gets you too upset, you may need to purchase one of these:

I'd say it's possible to make your audio system sound better by running
the DC busses off of SLA batteries put in series followed by a capacitor
bank to further smooth it. It would even be cheaper than the $750 power
cord and the $147 outlet. Charging would be fun too, it would make you
feel really dedicated to sound quality.

This is what I consider the best part of the 'blurb':

1. First, how do they sound? In a word, wonderful. They create a huge
soundstage that is focused, detailed and very natural. The sound of the
Silent Source cables far exceeds their moderate price. They easily beat
cables costing 10 to 20 times more

This is describing a cable costing $900. Imagine how good the power
cables are that cost 10 to 20 times more (Anyone have a power cable
costing $18,000 ?).

I used to have faith in the abilities of people in PIClist, but, not one
of you know where I can source one of these $18,000 power cables ... !   ;-)

Check my webshop, if you are interested in those cables I think I can
get a few. I can even have them hand-painted, my childeren are in the
right age to enjoy such a job.

Wouter,  forget your kids,  I am 75 years old and for that price I could
enjoy
hand painting them.

Ummm.... If you REALLY want one, I'm pretty sure I can find a power cable to
sell you for that price...

Please, watch out Rolf, I think James might be overcharging you, shame
on you James. Rolf, I'll sell you the exact same cable James wants to
sell you for half price, out of the goodness of my heart... :)

FWIW, I've had a "disagreement" with an audiophile. In the case of this
person it was kinda like trying to argue with someone about religion,
there just was no room to move. Their opinion was fixed, and nothing I
said, no matter what evidence I had, seemed to matter. It was a very
frustrating discussion and as a rule I from then on have always kept my
month shut when that sort of topic appears.

If someone asks me my opinion, I'll give it. Otherwise I just let them
believe what they will.

Sometimes I wonder, if my morals were just a step below where they are,
how much money would I be rolling in at the moment if I sold to that
market?

Tut, tut!  You couldn't possibly sell them so cheaply.  See, once
they're hand-painted, they're not just speaker cables.  They're
*artisan* speaker cables!

Don't deal with this guy, he sells crap. My cables cost four times as
much, so they must be better.

Beware! This is a foreign source! If you order from this guy, it will get
hung up in customs and you will get stuck paying the import fees. Buy
American! :)

My cables have passed extensive testing by Audiofile magazine and were shown
to be equal to or better than any other cables on the market.

All sales final.

Humph!  That's nothing.  *MY* cables have been blessed by a certified
wizard.  This minimizes whizzling and departmental cogitation,
producing an open and smooth, nearly waxy sound.  Basses sound denser,
while the high end flurvits and spreads lightly as though a dewy mist
upon a scottish pasture.

I wonder if cables made from 7/8 hardline would sell.  Maybe fill the
center conductor with hair from virgins or something.

Yeah, but don't forget to age them properly..

You know, I couldn't do that stuff, I don't have the capacity to
generate that much bullshit.
