At the swap meet this weekend I met a couple guys, one has a PicStart
16B and a 16C, I didn't ask how much they wanted but I imagine their
prices are fairly decent;  If anyone's interested I can ask how much
they want for these (I'll be talking to them about possibly doing
injection molding of some custom connectors for a project anyways, I
have a PicStart Plus, don't know what the market for those units IS,
just sharing their possible availability.)

Also they had a Datarase ][ with some of the plastic cut away to let a
40DIP package erase quicker, wanted $25ish? for it (I'd have to ask.)  I
already have 2, so I don't need it ("possibly the warranty's voided by
this mod" <G>)

Given the upgrade restrictions, the 16B in particular would seem to
be an "orphan" product for which a "bargain basement" price would be in
order.  I've got one, from what has been suggested to me, I am nervous
to consider using it at all without upgrading to the Phoenix software,
which in turn is tedious (programming a 17-series device) and limited
ongoing support.
