Hi Is there any nice web sites for the design of altimeters with a pic? About 3 years or so ago there was a South African on the list that designed one for paragliders, it did not give height but gave an audible tone to say if you where climbing or dropping, can anyone still remember? I have an example of an altimeter that outputs the data serially as "RS-232". <x-flowed>Hi Zack, I have built an altimeter using a Basic Stamp. I have a picture, code and schematics of the first altimeter i made. I just recently finished a pocket version of it but i dont have the schematic, code, pcb layout, etc on my page yet. If you want them email me and ill sent them over. Although i didnt use a PIC i could easily be converted over.
