I wanted to confirm Eric's post on the availability of Sharp 640 x 480 passive matrix displays (6" x 4.5"). They also have built-in touch sensitive arrays based on Wacom technology. $25! Part # is LM64194F. All has a few pages of data sheets but I have been unable to find the full monte on Sharp's site. Anyone know anything about this part? The part is conceptually two 640 x 240 displays. You address the upper and lower half at the same time (4 bits each) via shift registers and then latch in the data to display on a per line basis. And on to the next line. Can anyone point toward info for ASCII decode to pattern display? Timing looks like you could certainly run this with a 17C756 using extended memory mode.
