'512 KByte of memory ** how about 2Mbytes **'
National Semiconductor have just released an 8 bit bus FLASH memory device,
2Mbytes in size. Instead of huge banks of address bits, the device is addressed
from an 8bit port, in blocks. I think you can get away with 12 I/O ports for
one device, and for multiple devices 10 of these will be common. Call your
local NS dealer and ask for info on NM29N16. It costs approx $US50 in small
volume and runs from 5V only.
