Where can I get the specifications for a 30 pin SIMM.
I have several 1Meg simms and would like to use them for some projects.
One of the projects requires a lot of on-line RAM, So if the specis not
too difficult I was hpoing to use some stuff from a parts box.

I thought I saw somthing relating to this back a while, so I am going to
check the Web Archive too.

Thanks in advance.

I too need 30-pin SIMM specs, but only for mechanical parameters-- I need to
lay out a PCB to fit in a 30-pin SIMM socket. The socket manufacturers
haven't been much help. Anyone know a convenient source for this data?

GOTO:
http://sistudio.com/sistudio/pdf/download.html
and get the ds00001a.pdf which is for the Simmstick PIC001.
Page 15 has the 30 pin simm mechanical specs.

I have checked these specs and found two short comings.
The distance between mounting holes I have made 3.24" instead of 2.25"
Manufacturers specs state 3.229 to 3.239. I find 3.24" fits all sockets
nicely.
3.25" is awkward, but works.

Pad size area on the 30 contacts without holes on the edge connector can
be .08", perhaps even larger is OK. Depends on the accuracy of your
board manufacturer. Small boards have big registration problems.

These are the specs I have used on all Dontronics DT series SimmSticks.

The simmstick website or Dontronics had a 39KB pdf file documenting the
Atmel.001 simmstick board (plugs into a 30 pin simm socket) that shows
mechanical dimensions.  I attached it in a cc to Mike Hardwick.  If you
want it ask him or me to send it to you.

Dave, Don (& others),

Just wanted to say "Thanks" to everyone who helped me with 30-pin SIMM
mechanical specs. The information was timely and right to the point!
