Is anyone still using the 16c5x 12 bit parts?

With all the newer devices around, I would think these may become
obsolete.

We exclusively use the older 16C5x parts, mainly due to cost. The
impression I was given at the '98 Masters conference was that these
parts were Microchips "bread & butter" components. I'm sure this is
probably still the case. Today's product lineup is a far cry from
when I first started using Microchip - you could get the 16c54/5/6/7,
and that was about it.
