Hi Folks,
Does anybody know the difference between the 16C554 and the 16C554A?
I went over the data sheets and the only obvious difference I can see is
that the 'A' series has a more restricted voltage range.
Thanks
carl

The A denotes die shrink. "A" version chips are smaller die, so cheaper
to make, so all new designs should be of this type.
