'16C84/16F84 RA4 port Behavior'

I come again to you PIC experts.
AFAK, port RA4 on 16X84 can be used in three ways:
- Normal Input
- Normal Out (With an Open Drain transistor, that needs a pull up
resistor)
- Clock Input for the Timer / prescaler.
When I analyse the schematics on the Data Sheet, It seems to me that the
Clock Input circuitry is fully independent from the I/O one.
My question is :
Is it possible to use simultaneously and independently (Without any
software problem) :
-Clock input for the Timer / Prescaler
-AND Open Drain Output
I want to "OR-Ty" an external open collector circuit and RA4 Open Drain
Output, and to send the result to prescaler input. That saves 1 pin.
Many Thanks in Advance,
Regards

since all input reads always read the pin state independently whether the
pin is an output or a (digital) input, it should work. but i guess someone
has to try it :)
