Its true the '61 has 1024 x 14 of code space. But in the mid-range i.e.16Cxx processors the code page size is 2048 words, not 512 words like the '5x family, so the '61 has only 1/2 page not 2 pages. This larger code page size saves a lot of page switching hassle, and at its price I think any new 18 pin design should be started in a '61 instead of a '54 or '56. Not only do you get 4 x larger code pages but also interrupts and the 8 deep stack. Quite an advantage for a part that cost almost exactly the same as a '56. Just my 2 cents worth... John E. A. 7:)

Update on Future Active (FAI) for PIC parts. FAI called me and informed me that the phone numbers I gave out is for Colorado only.
