It is unlikely that J-K stand for the name of any particular person. The D flip-flop is so called because it is a "data" FF. The outputs of a flip-flop are called Q and Q-bar but no one claims that they are named after any person. Enable inputs for latches are sometimes called the G inputs, apparently for no particular reason. The letters J and K were probably chosen from the sequence I, J, K, ... by eliminating the I to avoid confusion with the numeral one.
