I was reading the manual for the 16f877 was how to use
ICSP, but came just a little more confused than I was
before.  I would just like to know if you guys could
please direct me to a good circuit using a max232 and
the 16f877.  I was just especially if the ICSP would
use the same pins as Julian Winpenny's LCD code for
the C2c compiler.

See the schematic for the HOS PIC project at
http://www.embedinc.com/pic/hos.htm.  This shows a 16F876 connected to a
MAX232A equivalent.  The PGD and PGC pins are left open on this schematic,
so you could connect them, MCLR, and Vdd to a connector to program the
chip in circuit.
