Hello,

Is there an online place where you can
still buy vaccum tubes?  Are they still
manufactured by anyone?

Thanks

part 1 1554 bytes content-type:text/plain; charset=us-asciiRichardson Electronics and Svetlana still manufacture vacuum tubes.  New old
stock is available for most tubes from many sources that you can find on the
internet.  Basically just do a search on "vacuum tubes" and you will get plenty
of hits.

I suggest sticking to the two or three types that are
used in guitar amplifiers, there are a number of companies
producing valves for these in differing specs, and there
is huge and constant demand from the musicians so
obsolescence is less likely with these valves. :o)

I don't know about buying them on line, but a number of them are still
manufactured in Eastern Europe. When the UK valve (vacuum tube)
manufacturers stopped, they sold their plant machinery to the USSR.

The easily obtainable ones are the common audio valves, for guitar and
Hi-Fi applications.

I work at an electronics supply. We sell main stream stuff, but also still
deal with surplus and older components. We're located in Riverside, CA USA.
The number is (909) 686-6186, or email us at .....mailKILLspamspam.....the-ewarehouse.com. If we
don't have it in stock, we should be able to order it.

Some tubes are still manufactured, usually in Russia.
