Those little electrons REALLY didn't want to stop moving. I wonder what they
do to clean the contacts after that...

Same as haemorrhoids probably, wire brush and Dettol

There's a video around of a transformer fire. A rather large and
fireworky transformer fire

Excuse me, Dr. Jinx. I think I'd really like a second opinion.

Wire brush??? I don't *think* so.

Hey hey, who's the pretend Dr. here anyway ?

Wuss

The video reminds me of an experiment my physics teacher did.
He was trying to show us how a spark will travel further through
ionised air. So he cranked up the Wimshurst machine and moved
in on the spark gap with the lit bunsen burner. The metal bunsen
burner. We had the rest of the period to ourselves ;-) He was
feeling a little shaky down one side

We'll not go into the incident with the "Kuntz tube"......

ROFL!

A bit like the teacher who said: "Remember boys, don't get too close to the dome of the Van der Graf
generator" (points to it) "YAOWCH!"  An effective demonstration of how far "too close" was!  :-)

We had a Physics lecturer at college who was Indian, and her pronunciation of this always produced giggles
from the back row...

No wonder my PIC cannot keep its EEPROM data stored cleanly ....
