Hi Gang,
As bad luck and fatigue would have it, the piclist messages headers I
checked for the 'reply-to:', before posting here, were for the yahoo piclist
[piclist] and not for [PICLIST] on MIT. Just bad luck that the usually
low activity yahoogroup happened to have a burst of messages, and I didn't
notice the slightly different tag (lower case instead of upper). ARRRGHH!.
The reference to yahoo should have been a clue, but it wouldn't be the
first time that someone thought the MIT list was a yahoo list.
Since the reply to: header was missing, my apologies for misdirecting
my response to this list. However, it doesn't change my strong feelings that
a list such as this should be set to reply to the list, not the
individual poster (like the yahoo list).
The 'other' piclist is at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/piclist/
and the archives are public.
Once again, my apologies for screwing up. The up side is that you
now know about another PIC list which has around 40 posts a month.
And I promise won't post anything when I'm really tired.
Robert
Ironically Dwayne's message from/for the MIT piclist does NOT have a
reply-to: header. Probably a BCC: where the original didn't make it
through the tag filter.
