to dump into your superbatteries as needed. Still need hefty charging
leads though :)

No. The "charger" simply has one of these super batteries that charges
at a more "normal" rate in it. Limit of course being you'll only be able
to charge your super battery say once an hour. For most current uses
that's not much of a problem (only one that comes to mind is cordless
power tools, can easily go through a battery in an hour during heavy
usage).
