My wife has a masters degree in computer science, yet she still would not appreciate the glory of your accomplishment, but I do.
Women; you can't live with 'em and can't live without 'em.

Actually, I believe it was Steve Martin who said:
"Women. You can't live with them... you can't twist them into balloon animal shapes."

First, tip 'o the hat to Dan... Nothing quite like a nice piece of code that just comes together perfectly...
And now that we have totally hijacked this thread:
"Women, can't live with 'em... they can't live with us..."
Although the wife and I have some how managed to fake it pretty well for the last 14 or so years.

http://techref.massmind.org/techref/menvswomen.htm
My personal favorite from the above: "If a man is standing in the middle of the forest speaking and there is no woman around to hear him... is he still wrong?"
And finally:
An architect, an artist and an engineer were discussing whether it was better to spend time with the wife or a mistress.
The architect said he enjoyed time with his wife, building a solid foundation for an enduring relationship.
The artist said he enjoyed time with his mistress, because of the passion and mystery he found there.
The engineer said, "I like both."
"Both?"
Engineer:"Yeah. If you have a wife and a mistress, they will each assume you are spending time with the other woman, and you can go to the office and get some work done."

James,
seems as if I'm belonging to the "ripe stuff", as "the wife" and me made it for over 30 years now. Nevertheless, I like the engineer's POV :-) .

My problem right now, is that my wife always seems to beat me to the punch. It seems as though she is able to ask me to do something
a few milliseconds after the thought has already entered my mind or on rare occasion for example I'll be on my way up the stairs with clean
laundry as she is in the other room asking me if I will carry it up the stairs. Arghhh!! - "yes dear" - As my wife and I are sharing 5+ years
of marriage with two beautiful daughters, we have been sharing our friendship together for 22+ years.
BTW) congrats!! Dan!! :o)

A few weeks ago I saw an interview of the couple in the guiness book of world records for the oldest living couple (combined age) and longest married couple. He was asked what the secret to a long and happy marriage was, his reply; "knowing when to say, Yes dear". Sadly, he passed away about a week after the interview.

Beau,
agree with you - and back to the topic. I never made it so far to _exactly_ fill one SX code page.
Dan,
you might seriously consider your winning chances concerning the lottery ticket. Just punch some numbers to find out the probabiliy for a win - I guess, chances for exactly hitting an SX page boundary ar much higher though :-) .

Anyway, just to see what happened, I told her about it. The she responded by talking about the cat ion exchange capacity of some material she was working with (she's an MS in Chem Eng)... ....needless to say we both ended that conversation right there and put a movie in the DVD player.
Life is really good when your wife makes you hit the "Pause" button on your work...

At least your (plural) wives understand the basics of technology. Simple things like "batteries need to be charged" and "it doesn't work if you don't plug it in". I'm not married, and I don't even have a girlfriend at the moment... partly because I almost never find girls with any concept of modern technology or electricity in particular. And the few (7 out of 250+) women who are electrical engineering majors at my college are of course all taken :P
