My 17 year old purchased a used Play Station and wanted to add a mod to allow
him to play "ALL" the games. Without starting a war here, aren't these mod
chips really 8 pin PIC chips (508 / 509).
If they are PIC chips where can you get the code for them? Is it available
on the web somewhere or do you have to purchase these from a jobber who wants
a lot of money for a programmed PIC?
Suggestions?

Here is the site you need. Identify the serial number of the playstation on
the bottom (eg sph7002),
And use the code that is compatible with that, or use the universal one.
There is probably a link to show the wiring for installing it.
