Although Basic18 is not a C compiler, you can mix assembly language freely in
the source code.  There is a free version, and the commercial versions are
$50 and less so it is worth looking into.  You can find the website at

Hi,

My project had grown quite fast so went over to use
the 16F628.
Because it is not a prof. project, i use the CC5X
(student)compiler. (it even reduced my code by a few %
compared to my previous compiler (C2C) )

grtz,

Simon
