Hi All,

I discovered an interesting service, but not sure if it is a trap, does
anyone try it before:-

"...free, unlimited and nonpolluting energy source..."

Uh huh.

"The energy source that powers the generator is a set of very unique and
very strong permanent magnets. If you have ever held two magnets close
together you have a sense of the repulsive and attractive forces that exists
between them. With permanent magnets these forces are "permanent," meaning
that the potential energy present will always be available. What is unique
about this energy is that it is free, unlimited and nonpolluting! The
exciting part is that we have figured out how to successfully exploit this
amazing energy phenomenon in a way that we believe will soon provide free
electricity to all those who register for our program."

Right.

You know, I invented a perpetual motion machine once...

It would appear to me to be a scam to sell worthless videos about
impossible perpetual motion machines.

"Nationally Famous Radio and TV Personality, Dennis Lee" is claimed to
be in a Member of the International Inventors Hall of Fame. I did a
couple of searches for the organization with no joy.

I wonder if the US post office and FTC know about this apparent fraud?

LOL...

>You know, I invented a perpetual motion machine once...

Yeah, the FAQ has that one listed, too.  For an example of
creative writing (or how to be a politician), read the
answer...

Oh, heck, here it is:

>Can the generator he described as a perpetual motion machine?

BTW it's free because you sell the excess power back to
the power company.  But you don't connect it to
the power grid, either :)

They wont give a patent number because the patent office wont touch a
perpetual motion machine with a 10 foot pole.

obtw: did you ever notice that Perpetual Motion and Permanent Magenet have
the same initials? :-)

I'm afraid you can.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that you cannot obtain net free
energy "from nothing".
It's just that the laws of Physics "as we know them" suggest that it doesn't
happen. Our experience is codified in the laws of thermodynamics and the
maths which arise from them applies to an apparently perfect approximation
to reality as it is known to us.

Why the universe is this way, or if it is really universally this way, or
whether it has always been or always shall be this way, is unknown to us. We
can guess.
Given that, as far as we can tell, the whole of thre universe sprung into
existence from a point source ("let there be point source" :-) ) smaller
than we can ever measure (under Planck length) and given that energy appears
to be created and annihilated spontaneously all the time "in the vaccuum"
(but only exists for a short enough time not to violate the Heisenburg
uncertainty principle)(which is just a statement of observed 'fact") then we
should be entirely unsurprised if such a spontaneous generation ever
suddenly disobeys H's laws as the initial universe appears to have done.

If I may tread on the fringes of the dangerous, some seem to feel that the
idea of the intervention of an external "intelligence" in some or all of
this suggests an overimaginative mind. I feel that it takes rather more
imagination to be comfortable with all this happening all by itself (or
rather all without its self as in the absence of external "intelligence" it
all apparently arises "ex nihilo").

As an aside, latest "discovery" (last few weeks) is that the universe is
'open" and will expand run down "forever " without  recontracting.
Einstein was right in proposing a magic cosmological constant fudge factor,
there is something pushing it all apart, E's greatest error was his greatest
insight. AFAIR mass/energy  10%, dark mass 35%, dark energy 55% and dark
energy BLOWS ie there is a repulsive force which opposes gravity and helps
it all expand.
Get a magnetic bottle (or whatever) of this and you may be able to climb out
of gravity wells "for free". But maybe not.
Of course, as we haven't ever seen dark energy or dark matter and have no
idea at all at all at all what they are represented by then it is likely
that next year's latest theory will be a little different.

enjoy,

           Russell McMahon

PS

A thought.
If "dark energy" is real and if it has a physical manifestation and if we
can trap/create/utilise it what are the implications for physics as we know
it?

It is a scam.  The faq states that before they will send one generator
out, they will require 1.6 million people to register.  And, oh, by the
way, it cost's a low $5.95 to register!  The $9.95 video is purely
optional (but is the only thing we actually produce and ship at this time).

So they'll get a few hundred, maybe even a few thousand to 'register',
and when the lawsuits come they'll close up shop, having left very
little tangible evidence of the scam.
