Greetings,

since GPS map is mention here, please elaborate more. Most of the GPS
receiver or engine will have NMEA output rite ? How are we to use the data
to map it into a digital map ? thanks in advance.

best wishes,

Please google for APRS.  http://www.tapr.org is a nice place to start looking
around.

You plot a point on the map for each datum received by NMEA and connect it
with a line (or better a spline) with the previous point. This is really
high tech.

Some map packages available for PC's and PDA's have capability to take an
NMEA data stream, and relate it to the appropriate position on the map.

This allows you to watch your progress on the map while someone else drives
the car. :)
