Hi, Gods Oracle !!

I know this comes up every once in a while, but...

I am in the process of choosing a very inexpensive, yet reliable DTMF
transceiver - CM8880 is far too expensive, at $2.80, qty 5000.

Any ideas ?

TIA,

Pedro.

Holtek has a transmitter and receiver.

Use 8870 (around $0,70 for 5K) as receiver and generate the DTMF by
microcontroller.

Well, I guess the microcontroller is way too busy to generate the double
tones.

I was thinking on using separate units from Holtek, but maybe there is some
inexpensive transceiver out there...

Thanks, Tsvetan.
