'[PIC] Trouble programming 18F2320 with PicStart Pl'

I have a picstart plus with the latest firmware
(3.62.1.0) as well as the latest version of Mplab
(6.62). When I try to program a 18F2320, mplab
displays sucess, but a subsequent verify shows the pic
to contain all nops. I thought it might be the
18F2320, but mplab considers support for the 2320 to
be in beta with the picstart plus. I don't have
another chip to try, and I am able to program other
(e.g. 18F252) parts without problem.

Thanks for any ideas

Stanve

My Picstart Plus has firmware revision:

PICSTART Plus Firmware Version 4.30.4.

Have you upgraded your programmer with the flash board upgrade yet ?

Regards

Thanks Dom, yes I have 4.30.4. I had earlier quoted
myfirmware version from MPlabs about box. I didn't
realize it would show a different version from what
was in the programmer. <shrug>  Has anyone on the list
successfully programmed a 18F2320 with a pic start
plus?

Regards.
