I am using PICKit 2 and MPLAB. After programming the chip I disconnect PICKIT to avoid
interaction and then run the test program. When I reconnect the programmer I have to
restart MPLAB to be able do the next round of programming - testing.  Is there a way to
reset the programmer without leaving MPLAB?

Hi Goran,

Are you disconnecting PicKit2 from the computer or from the circuit? If you
only disconnect the circuit, then there is no reason experiencing problems
like that.

Have you tried the 'Connect' function from the 'Programmer' menu? What
version of MPLAB are you using anyway?

Hello Tamas,

I am disconnecting from the circuit and, no, I have not tried the connect function, will do so.
I am using MPLAB 8.83.
