PICers - I just installed MPLAB IDE 7.10. This is probably a real dumb question
but I'm getting all these weird error messages when I try to build a previous
project, a trusty old one that makes/build/runs OK in MPLAB 5.40.

Looks to me like 7.10's not recognising any include files, even though these
are all definitely there in the same directory with the project file. I tried
including 7.10's new 16F877.dev files as well as the old *.inc file to see if
it'd make a diff. No go. :(

What am i missing?

Thanks for any ideas - Debbie

eg ?? :-

If you're going to upgrade anyway, why not to the latest?  I think there is
at least a 7.11 out.

This sounds like you are trying to build an absolute project in relocatable
mode.

I think Microchip is recommending Version 7.10. They only
recommend 7.11 (interim release, not so thoroughly tested)
to those who need the new features.

Oh, so THAT's why PCLATH shows wrong values in ICE2000
& 16F876A device.

And why it can't talk to ICD2 without "out of memory"
errors.
Why didn't they label it as BETA?

I just followed the main link for the IDE for the D/L.

I had to go back to 6.62 to get my ICD2 working
correctly, and ICE2k to show correct PCLATH data.
Or do I have yet another bad binary image?
