'[PIC] Indepedent clock'

Hello to all
I use the pic18F4550 device. Is there any way to use an internal timer (e.g. Timer1) and drive a PORT pin directly in order to get a steady frequency from that pin (as a clock). To be more precise: I use 20MHz crystal for the device and i want to provide a clock of 5MHz to peripheral ICs. Is there any way to produce the 5MHz clock inside the pic18F4550 and output it to one of its output pins?
Thanks for any response

Manos

Manos,

use XOR with 1 to any of port pin you want "20mhz/4=5mhz clock"

If you can use an external clock, then it is a good solution to use an
external
20MHz clock (EC and ECPLL mode). Then 5MHz clock is available from
OSC2/CLKO pin.
