Ok, I need so help with this one.  The download filename for the Picc
Lite OS-X compiler is the same as its Windows counterpart.  The Mac
doesn't know what to do with self-extracting exe files.

If I'm somehow overlooking something, would someone please point me in
the right direction?  Hi-Tech doesn't have anything relating to a Mac
problem in their forums.

Thanks!

Joe

The Mac file is picc-lite_9.60PL2-setup.run, which isn't the same as
the Windows .exe installer.

The Mac installer is a shell script; make sure it has execute
permissions.

I found the run file for PIC18, and I can extract it from within
Terminal without issue.  For the standard, however, picc-lite_9.60PL2,
the Mac link points to an exe.  I confirmed it is indeed a Windows
install file on my Windows machine.

Scroll down to the Mac OS free software.

Thanks for your help.

Thank You!  Looks as though everything works.  Hi-Tide sees the
compiler.  Now I just need to sit down, study, and learn how to use
the tools.
