Is there a list of all the device ID values any where ?  I've searched
on the piclist site and also with google but I can't seem to find
anything.

I don't think there is. But for my XWisp2 program I needed similar info
(more than device ID alone) and made a Rexx script to collect the data
from MPLAB files. If you want I can send you a simplified script to
obtain (only) DevIDs, or I can send you the results of that script (a
list of DevIDs).

Regards, Rob

Hi Bob, your comment above made me think to go and look at the xwisp.py
code.  Some of the info is there, and probably enough to cover the PICs
I've currently got "in stock" ;-)

But a more complete list would be helpful. The result would be best as
I've not got MPLAB anywhere.

You have to consult each programming specification separately.  I don't know
of a master list.  However, if you download my PIC programmers software at
http://www.embedinc.com/picprg/sw.htm there is a file that contains the IDs
for all the chips currently supported by my programmers.  The file is ENV >
PICPRG.ENV and the description of its syntax is in DOC > PICPRG_ENV.TXT.

Beware, a number of programming data sheets have errors for device ID.
