Flash part...so should be able to reprogram it.

Using an ICD, program it...drop it in circuit, works fine.

Try to reprogram it....has errors always at address 0x04.data didnt match..so it crashes.  Any ideas?

Are you reprogramming it in-circuit, or pulling it out and using a
stand-alone programmer?

Did you try to erase the part before reprogramming it? I remember that
some old version of MPLAB IDE didn't erase the part automatically.

Not sure what the Vpp First function is?
 
Im using an ICD3, where I have a socket for the chip and a header...so I remove it from circuit, and drop into my "programmer"

I have seen similar issues when the ICD is only powered with USB (no
power adapter present)
