'[PIC]:Jet Engine FADEC'

I am re-sending this message because I did not have the proper header in the
subject line the first time.

Hello

For the last year I have been building a jet engine and a FADEC
(Full Authority Digital Electronic Controller) for it.  I have finished the
engine and donated it to a local university.  I am in the process of
designing a new engine and have completed the design of the intake,
compressor and diffuser.  The engine should have an output thrust of 300 to
500 lbs. with the afterburner off / on.  I used a PIC 17C766 for my FADEC
processor and PBP (Pic Basic Pro) to program it.  The FADEC reads 50
instruments and has 20 outputs.  The instruments include thermocouples,
pressure transmitters, current sensors, strain gauges, proximity switches,
etc. and the outputs drive pumps, valves and glow plugs.  Would anyone here
be interested in helping me debug the code.  The code has about 1000 lines
of basic.  I can provide more details to those who help.

Thanks
Scott Beatty

This sounds very interesting.  I don't have much time to help, but if
you have specific bugs that need to be worked out I can look and see
what I see.  I've recently been following the homebrew efforts of others
who build simple jet engines out of car turbochargers.  Very interesting
stuff.

Thanks for the offer.  I have not yet programmed the FADEC and
probably will not until the engine design is done.  I would like to adapt
the code from the previous FADEC.  So I need a few people who could point
out any red flags in the code.

Thanks

Scott

Scott,

I would be willing to lend you a hand on a time available basis.
Let me know more of the specifics, and I'll give you a better
estimate of my available time I can commit.

                                                Regards,

                                                  Jim

You would have about four months to look over the code.  I would be
looking for any red flags or possible errors.

Scott,

I think I could fit that into my schedule.  When do you want to
start?  Let me know, and can begin.

                                           Regards,

                                             Jim

I would like to see some details on your engine.  Do you have a website?
