'[PIC]:As for a sample C program...'

Hi to all listers!

I just recently downloaded the HiTech PIClite C compiler. I know how to
program C but the problem is that I don't know how to start it because it is
a C intended to the embedded system.

With this, Can I ask a sample program that act PIC as a 4 bit to 8 bit
converter using the PORTA as input and PORTB as output?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

What exactly to you mean by a 4 bit to 8 bit converter?  Do you want to take
two 4 bit nibbles on PortA and then output on PortB?  If so you will need a
strobe line to tell the pic that valid data is ready on PortA.  Or do you
mean something else?

I believe this is the type of chip Microsoft used to write NT and Win2k ...
that's why Win2k requires 1Gb for a basic install?
